When I started on my substack journey last year, I had a mission of always wanting to post something every week.
I had to, I said. Especially if I want people to read my work.
Well if you and I want to be better writers, then we have to write everyday. right?
Well yes we do.
But we don’t have to show everyone out there what we wrote, Right?
I kind of felt like that, I love writing. but I just want to keep it to myself.
Fast forward a little bit and if you have been on my page lately, you would have seen that I haven’t put anything out for just over a month now.
I have wanted to, but just haven’t had the energy to write.
I felt really bad about that. But at the same time, I stood back and thought to myself.
Maybe the best thing for you and your readers is to not put anything out for a while. And if you do that. you will come back with a newfound energy and motivation to put your best work out.
Which will benefit not just you, but more importantly your readers.
It seems I do enjoy writing, and they say you should do what you love, so I guess I should get a move on with it hey?
Writing shouldn’t be a chore and when it does feel like one. one should take a break.
I have recently done that as you might have guessed. and boy am I itching to get back into the ring. Not to get as many subscribers as possible, but to just have fun, to write and maybe make new friends…
When we read, we do it because we want to go to another world, another place.
To escape.
I hope my writing will provide us that with that opportunity.
